I'm not sure if Globe also use 51502 for their prepaid SIMs since it's used in postpaid and the APN is different for prepaid users. Unlike Smart which uses the same APN for both prepaid and postpaid users.
For the benefit of Globe prepaid users, I've edited the Globe's APN to reflect the proper APN automatically. You can rename the default Globe folder to Globe_ph.bundle.bak and just copy the attached file (after unzipping) to the Carrier Bundle folder. Don't forget the permissions. No need to edit the symlink. Then reset your networks settings to reflect load the new one.

simply amazing many thanks Tulisan one question and please consider a very newbie asking - does this only work with the 3G network?

It shouldn't affect your other settings since the folder where you put this is different from where the other settings are located. You must have done something wrong if this caused problems to your phone.

Sir SUN Postpaid din ako, activated na din daw ang GPRS ko... pero still di ako maka send ng MMS. Same din ang settings natin. Me adjustment pa ba na dapat gawin?
Pag globe sim ang gamit ko nakakasend ako. Wala din akong makita na GRPS or EDGE or 3G signal sa status bar. Pero nung i try kong iactivate ung GPRS, actuivated na daw.

i think the problem lies with your sim, try using it on a non-iphone device and send mms kung gagana, pag gumana it means there something wrong with sun mms settings sa iphone mo

You also might want to try it out on a different location,
As you may know, SUNs 3G service it not yet available everywhere.

I have a few questions regarding MMS with Smart on a 3g iphone.
My iphone currently works with MMS. I used help.benm.at/help.php to activate my MMS and tethering options and then I manually entered the correct settings for Smart and sent myself a test MMS and it got sent out and I received it back. In short my MMS works!
First question is that I observed that 3G must be switched ON in order to be able to send MMS. Does this always have to be so? I noticed when I switched off 3G, MMS appeared to have failed sending. The reason I ask is because I normally switch off 3G in order to conserve on battery power. I find it inconvenient to keep 3G switched on all the time because of the power hungry nature of 3G. With regular phones this isn't an issue - regular SMS and MMS messages are sent flawlessly without having to turn on anything as long as the settings are correct.
Second, when I did a test MMS to myself I got the MMS message back which means my MMS works. I asked a friend who owns a 2 megapixel Nokia cellphone to send me an MMS message and I received it. However when I sent an MMS message to her phone she didn't get it. I tried this twice but she never got it.
- I am thinking perhaps there might be a problem in the format of sending pictures/MMS from the iphone to another brand of phone. Could this be the case? Perhaps MMS messages sent by iphones will only be received properly only other iPhones? Hmmm .... this shouldn't be the case.
- I noticed that in a previous post there is an entry for MMS Max Message Size as 307200. Would this be the factor affecting my sending MMS to other phones? Is the 307200 supposed to adjust the photo size to optimal for other cellphones to handle? What if this field is left blank? Would that make a difference? Is this the prescribed Message Size dictated by Smart for their MMS messages?
- Granting that I take a photo with my iPhone which would be 2MB - will this photo be easily handled/displayed on other (non-iphone) phones if sent via MMS? If not, how can I resize the photo "on-the-fly"? I mean, I would like to take a photo and be able to send it out via MMS easily. If it needs to be file resized because either the carrier or receiving phone cannot handle it - there must be a way to do it without having to save the file and hook up to a computer just to edit the photo. This would make MMS very tedious if I have to edit the image on a computer every time just before sending it.
Thanks a lot and I hope to hear your ideas, suggestions, knowledge, whatever on this problem I am encountering sending MMS images out.
Cheers!

1. 3G related to MMS, i dont think that 3G needs to be turned on to use MMS, MMS works even if edge/3g is turned (That i s based on observation). MMS and data connection have different APNs therefore one will work even if the other is disabled. In case i am wrong what you can do is turn on 3G and put a wrong APN on cellular data network so that data connection is disabled while MMS will still work
2. Sending MMS to other devices. I think the reason why your friend did not received the MMS you sent is maybe because of the size of the file you are sending. Some phones dont accept MMS greater than 100kb, others automatically resize the image on MMS. In iphone MMS setting try changing it to less than 100 kb, send a file and check if your friend receives it.

1. MMS works even if the 3G signal is off, although slower to send.
2. MMS size of 307200 is the default size used by Globe. I just copied that to the Smart and Sun Carrier settings. I've read somewhere that 300kb is the maximum size that can be sent via MMS due to several factors. I've also found this www.nokia.it/EUROPE_NOKIA_COM_3/r2/suppo...english/faq_img.html which describes the limitation on certain Nokia phones.
Hope it helps.
