hey guys, could anyone CONFIRM that they are using an iphone 3g/s with the SUN call and surf unlimited? (its the one with 1 sim for all, 999 per month; see link below

Gulo kasi nang sun customer service, some say pwede, some say hinde etc. (but i'm using a sun line ngayon, charging 10 peso per 30 minutes, kaya naman using minternet na APN and soso na sakin ang speed, better than globe IMO) own discretion nalang daw pag di gumana.

would be really frustrated pag magcommit ako and di ko magamit sa iphone ko. (have tooo many phones already, but i need email on the go especially my nature of work..)

Yes you can use that. Actually it comes with mobile phone ZTE something... so instead of using that phone, use your iPhone.

I think internet tethering will not work when used on an iPhone.

Yes, the only problem is... they are saying up to 2MBPS... but actually they cap the bandwidth to 640KBps. you may check other forums for this.

2MBPS is their "burst" speed and not their guaranteed speed. So depending on network conditions (number of users/node, latency, etc), this can vary.

Best is to confirm with Sun. As far as I know, no provider commits to bandwidths higher than 512MBPS for this class (SIM-based/cellular data) of service.

Well, before during first week of my subscription, I am enjoying the 2MBPS, I even have a tool to determine my current bandwidth and it shows 2MPBS, but right now, it is only 640.

how i wish sun would extend its 3G coverage here in bulacan... gusto ko man kumuha nyan baka di ko masulit kasi wala 3G ang sun dito.......

True. I heard it's based on the APN. fbband is capped while minternet is still at full speed. Unfortunately, call and surf subs cannot use is stuck at fbband.
