My update had an error, I was wondering if I would need a specific version of itunes to update my iPhone to 3.1.2?

I think it was like error 10? Do I need the latest itunes to update my iphone into 3.1.2?

It must be an error 10xx. You're likely to be missing the last 2 digits of the error number. Without the last 2 digits, there are a lot of possibilities.

Regarding itunes, as long as you're using a recent version, it should be fine to use for updating.

I tried to restore my iphone again but had that error 10. Yes it was 10. I am currently downloading the latest itunes software. Maybe the itunes version caused the error because if I remembered it correctly, There was a version requirement for me to update my phone to 2.2.1.

also at my wits' end 2 days ago..thanks to the friendly mods here(lifesavers: kikz,wattsjoyce,natsgo,boi), they revived my dying iphone!! i tried iReb (http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/welcome.snow) before redsn0w.. i also had an error(13). iReb bypass errors--just make sure u r in DFU mode(www.applei.ph/one/component/option,com_k...ew/catid,42/id,2839/)

@kikz: i'm helping na..no longr NOOB! ^^ lmao
