Ever since the
Iphone made its debut and changed the smartphone landscape forever, the race has been on between the remaining handset makers (
Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Palm, etc.) on who could produce a legitimate "
Iphone Killer" <-- if i hear this term ONE more time, i'm going to puke! LOL.
Brand new models came and went, all falling short of that coveted claim to fame that they have toppled the new smartphone king. Google's
Nexus One is probably the closest contender, despite their current customer service woes... see:

now, maybe?
Although I still don't think Microsoft "gets it" in the sense that they have been trying inundate us with a lot of mediocre phones with a "just ok" OS (contrasted with Apple's "one great phone one great OS" goal), after seeing the promo videos, it looks like they're finally heading in the right direction, albeit a few years late (that's in dog years for this business). Ultimately, time will tell how the new
