zero_jc, try the steps outlined here to set-up your windows XP for sharing.

This is the step by step on how to make your dektop a hotspot for your iphone...
hope this helps...

connect usb lan adapter. put in cd na kasama sa pack. basta wait lang until ma-install niya.

reboot.

go to wireless network settings

properties

wireless network

add (hotspot name)

network authentication (shared)

wep key (if necessary) (i made one just to follow the procedure)

go to advanced (check on computer to computer (ad hoc only)

click close then ok.

Next step:****

Go to Local Area Connection

click properties

then go to advanced tab

in the Internet connection check box, check it but don't check the box under it

click on ok.

if the hotspot still does not show, reboot...

You will see that there is a Wireless Network Connection icon in your system tray( not connected )

Get your iphone and search for this hotspot.

Success!

sir ganyang ganyan po ginawa ko. . after reboot still Not Connected yung sign sa lower right ng screen, pero kahit not connected siya nadedetect ng iphone ko yung wifi, pero walang signal so nonsense din kasi ni hindi ako makapag browse.

nga pala, nag update din ako ng driver nito ayaw pa din.

eto po..

d ba dapat ang network connection sa control panel after mainstall yung driver dapat connected na siya, pero saken not connected pa rin. check nyo po screenshots ko.





tapos sa wireless network connection naman, after ko mag connect dun, so bale ttype ko na yung password tapos connected na. pero not connected pa din yung mga icon ko sa computer.

yung wireless networks tab sa properties, minsan hindi lumalabas yan.

Pano po ginawa niyo? kasi may router ko, dun nakakabit yung smartbro kaya twing may magcoconnect ang ibang laptop o iphone sa smartbro connection ko via wifi, laging pumupunta sa smartbro portal.

wifi router po ba yan or yung cable router? kung pumupunta sa smartbro portal yung laptop and iphone, kelangan mo muna buksan yung browser (firefox or ie) sa main computer na gamit mo, para makapag set siya ng ip.
