Getting the scroll feature of the Magic Mouse to work in Windows 7.. and XP too! 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 156
Finally got my Apple Magic Mouse today and boy am I happy with it now that i've gotten to make the scroll feature to work under Windows 7, thanks to a post on MacRumors by member reserves and wanted to share this gold nugget of a find .

It was supposed to be a fix for those running Win7 via BootCamp but it works just the same on an Intel based PC

Just download the corresponding files as posted here. After the install completes, you will have to remove the Magic Mouse from your bluetooth device list, then add it again.. Voila!! Vertical scrolling works!!! Just had to post this but will update it as soon as I get done fiddling with it

For those who want to use it on a Windows machine, the drivers have been extracted from the latest bootcamp update for PC users. I have yet to try it, but the comments from the source site seems to be positive.

Get Apple’s MultiTouch Magic Mouse To Play Nice on Windows
Source: uneasysilence.com

So you like Apple’s fancy Magic Mouse? Its a beautiful piece of engineering with an insane price tag of $70. Problem is, even at $70, it only works on Macs leaving Windows users in the dust. But thanks to a hidden update here is how you get this little guy to work in Windows XP (32 bit) to Windows 7.

Thanks to a little hackery from Apple’s Bluetooth Update (located here) the Magic Mouses driver was extracted via WinRar resulting in a 32bit version and a 64bit version that you can install on any ordinary Windows PC that will enable all the scrolling ‘magic’ of the Magic Mouse.

Re: Apple’s MultiTouch Magic Mouse To Play Nice on Windows - Voids AppleCare? 2 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 97
Rumor or another publicity?

Briefly: Magic Mouse for Windows, smoke voids AppleCare
Source: MacNN

In Brief: Although Apple only provides drivers to support the new Magic Mouse on Mac OS X or Windows via Boot Camp, a recent software update has been hacked and converted into an .exe for operating the mouse on ordinary Windows PCs. Meanwhile, a separate report suggests Apple has been rejecting warranty claims for Macs that have been used in smokers' homes.

Apple's recent Bluetooth update was hacked and modified for Windows PCs, allowing users to take advantage of the new multi-touch and scrolling features of the Magic Mouse. The .exe files, available from UNEASYsilence, can be downloaded for either 32-bit configurations or 64-bit Windows systems.

The Mac maker is allegedly voiding AppleCare warranties in certain cases where the user exposed their computer to second-hand smoke, according to a report by The Consumerist. Although the warranty terms and conditions do not contain any information related to cigarette smoke, several Apple representatives reportedly rejected systems due to the presence of smoke residue on the internal components of Macs. In several cases, Apple has referenced OSHA regulations which list nicotine as a hazardous substance.

Yes folks, i finally got the scrolling feature of the Apple Magic Mouse to work in XP, at least on my laptop that is, using a Jabra A320S bluetooth dongle

I have to admit though that is was quite a tedious trial and error on the proper combination to get it to work but boy am I one happy camper now!!!!

Now, to figure out how to get the swiping to work.

Tip:
If you are using WIDCOMM-based bluetooth dongles/devices, get the latest driver/software at their support site.
