My cousin got an old imac G5 just this afternoon from her mom from the states.
I tried reading the manual but I couldn't find the info where it talks about its voltage.
I searched the net and read that its autovolt, so i plugged it directly.

Horror of horrors it emitted a spark and popping sound before I could turn it on.
Upon further searching was i only able to find that there are some models that only use 110v.

As i mentioned, it's old, hence no more apple care. I've read in some forums saying since it was not turned on, other parts could still be intact and only the power supply would need attention. Is this true?
