Source: saudimac Apple has sent invites to members of the press to attend their Music Event to be held next Wednesday September 1st, 2010. Apple will most likely release the latest models of the iPod and update iTunes. Rumors speculate that Apple will release a new Apple TV powered by iOS. Tune in to engadget at 10AM PT / 1PM ET on the 1st to catch the best liveblog in the business!

If you're placing your bets on announcements at next week's Apple event, you'd do well to heed the predictions of my colleague Chris Breen: an update to the iPod Touch seems like a sure thing. Source: saudimac Apple’s Music Event will be held this Wednesday September 1st 10AM PDT, that’s 8 PM local Saudi Arabia time (1 AM Philippine time). The event will be livestreamed on www.apple.com for mac and iOS users running FW3.0 or higher. The limitation is due to the fact that Windows does not have Quicktime X yet.
