I just recently purchased an 8Gb 2nd Gen Ipod Touch from Online Apple Store Philippines. My IPtouch flew from China to my Door here in the Philippines. After a few minutes of Music Testing I replaced the earphones with a Sony, Used it.. Contended with it. After a week of usage I tested again my apple stock earphones to compare to the sony ( just Being Curious again, whats really lacking in details) And then I was shock that it sounded so damn CRAPPY like it was like a Fake earphone. Im thinking if I accidentally dropped it or what, because the left earpiece only emits low sound and full of tweets plus when I add volume BASAG na. Is their a warranty to this?

I'd like a replacement.. but where? or baka na damage kaya earphone port ng IPtouch ko?

It does sound like sira na yung stock earphones, but I don't think the earphone port had anything to do with it. The in-box earphones aren't very durable nor are they capable of quality audio reproduction. I didn't even bother to use the ones that came with my iPod Touch

I think you should just use and enjoy your Sony unit

Based on my own experience of using ipods and iphones over the years, the stock earphones that Apple include with their products have always sounded thin and cheap compared to 3rd-party earphones. A cheap $10 pair of Sony earphones I bought even sounded a whole lot better than the stock pair.

About your iphone's earphones breaking down after a mere month, happened to my old ipods and my iphone's stock earphones as well. The ipod stock earphones I had lasted a around 2 months. The iphone stock earphone only took 1 month of seldom use for it to start to cracking. After a few days, the left stopped working completely. Never used the stock ones since.

But, of course, you or other users' mileage may vary.

im still using my stock earphoen but intend to buy a third party also
