Guys....is there anything I can do about this....my cousins ipod nano 1st gen blew up.... literally sumabog siya!!! its out of warranty but thats not an excuse....panu kung hawak niya to or nasa pocket niya nung sumabog???

Indeed! This is very disturbing...My 7-yr old niece owns one and she uses it on a daily basis. Definitely i don't want her to experience this...

Scary.

As mentioned, better get it checked out. Definitely battery related. Then a recall will be issued. Free replacement, at the expense of a life... No WAY!

@sibilly: was it connected to the charger when it blew up? kindly share how it blew up... so that it can help prevent "accidents" in the future... as i know people still using their 1st gen nanos... thanks...
