Hi Guys. Im new here in this site and Im glad to find this site dedicated to Apple lovers. Anyway, I have an Ipad 3G. I bought 2 broadband prepaid sims. One is Smart Bro Prepaid that works perfectly while the Sun Prepaid does not work. I just inserted the smart bro and it works immediately without any additional set-up. However for Sun Prepaid, it detects the sim but it doesnt work. I tried putting minternet in the apn and left the username and password blank but to no avail. Does anyone have a clue on my experience?

Thanks for the advice. try to on and off 3g, or reset network setting, everytime you change your sim!

make sure sun sim is 3g/gprs enabled

New Sun APN Settings:

SBW Postpaid: fbband
SBW Prepaid: minternet

For SUN Networks


This works for me, maybe this might help.

Turn ON 3G

Cellular Data

APN: minternet
Username: none
Password: leave blank

MMS
APN: mms
Username: none
Password: leave blank
MMSC: mmscenter.suncellular.com.ph
MMS Proxy: 202.138.159.78:8080
MSS Max Message Size: leave blank
MMS UA Prof URL: mmscenter.suncellular.com.ph

Really? Just kidding Just use the APN settings provide by tulisan and as per kikz's post, make sure your Sun account is provisioned for gprs

Problem solved guys! The sun sim was not activated per sun shop. Unlike smart bro, you need to activate sun prepaid sim by installing it in mobile phones and checking the balance before using. So activate first before cutting to micro sim.

internet and smartbro does not work..

you can use smartbro as APN and in order to have unlimited data connection for 5 days send UNLISURF 200 to 2200. I think thats the only way to have unlimited internet for 5 days
