i'm on iOS4 right now.. I tried putting in SUN / SMART and Globe settings with 3 different sim cards of course... anyone else having a problem connecting to the internet when using iOS4?

Hello,ahmm okay...let's see, i have an iPhone 3gs at&t is the official carrier but ive just unlocked it and now im using globe ... 3.1.3 is the version, and i cannot connect to the internet except through wifi and it always says whenever im trying to connect to the internet without a wifi "COULD NOT ACTIVATE CELLULAR DATA"
i have tried those APN settings above ,but none of it seems to work out...i have tried http.globe.com.ph and www.globe.com.ph and internet.globe.com.ph............. im a pre paid subscriber, can you guys help me with this problem? please...

My 1st post here. Used my Smartbro's prepaid sim (ZTE USB dongle) on my 3g and it actually works!
Subscribed to unlimited browsing for P200 for 5 days.

APN setting is 'smartbro' without the quotes.

However option for internet tethering is gone under network settings. It seems it's network dependent coz when i put back my globe postpaid sim, the option came right back. How do I make it reappear when using smartbro?

guys, i get an error when connecting to the internet via 3G. I'm on Globe (prepaid).

Could not activate cellular data netowork: You are not subscribed to a cellular data service.

APN: internet.globe.com.ph
3G is ON
Edge is ON

APN is for postpaid

Use http.globe.com.ph or www.globe.com.ph

maybe your sim is not 3g/gprs enabled, try using your sim on any non-iphone device and check if you can browse using data connection.

Check also if you have sbsettings toggles like fakeAPN, mdata, data. Make sure they are all turned off and 3g and edge toggles are turned ON

i guess my sim is not even gprs enabled, been using this for 5 years already..

call globe and have it activated

loko - will try it thanks. same problem w/my friends 3GS 3.1.3 jailbroken, she can't connect to the internet through 3g/edge..she tried it on Sum sim though and it worked fine.
