After a basic understanding of how themes work in Summerboard, I managed to come up with a personalized version of themes, and if I can do it, then anyone can do it.
For my first try, I wanted to merge the background and dock of the theme Playground:
with icons from a downloadable theme called CuteBunnies
So what I did was:
1. Downloaded CuteBunnies from Installer
2. From SSH, I downloaded the icons
3. From the computer, I began to rename the icons to match the app I wanted it to become (the bunny I posted became BossPrefs.png)
4. Once you have renamed all your icons, group them into a folder named "Icons"
5. Since I don't have script/shell knowledge, I unzipped the Playground theme, replaced its Icons folder with the one I made (with the bunnies).
6. Rename your new personalized theme (this one's called Luvbunny hehe)
7. Using SSH, install your new theme into /var/root/mobile/Library/Summerboard/Themes
8. Sit back and enjoy
Here is Luvbunny the theme:
I think it's better to use a different script (I used Playground's lang) because there's something wrong with the Weather icon (ayaw dumikit).
But there you go. I must say I'm really proud of my progress because I didn't know anything about SSH until I listened to doblezeta and his tutorials
Next stop: More girly themes! *clap, clap*
