Welcome to applei.ph...

This site envisions to cater to all your iPhone and iPod Touch needs. From accessories to repairs, unlocking to troubleshooting, the goal of this site is to provide you with the most comprehensive resource for everything iPhone and iPod Touch.

There are over 150,000 iPhones and iPod Touches currently being enjoyed and loved in the Philippines. Everyday more and more people are joining the community of Philippine-based iPhone and iPod Touch users. It's time that we have our own little place in cyberspace dedicated solely to our iPhones and iPod Touches.

Like every other community site, the spirit of this place will be borne from the active participation of each and every one of us. In this regard, our site will be governed by three fundamental principles:

1 Love thy iPhone. (and iPod Touch)

2 Respect your peers.

3 Obey the law.

These three principles will be our guideposts in everything we do, say, and post here. The rules of the forums will be drafted along these principles, to ensure that our site becomes a place where we could all share our resources, discoveries, insights, and shared passion in a friendly and enjoyable way.

Everybody is welcome to be part of the community, whether or not you currently own an iPhone or an iPod Touch. We only ask that you comply with the three principles mentioned, in your stay here.

The applei.ph team is committed to deliver quality service to everyone. We aim to provide the best deals on iPhones, iPod Touches, accessories, software and hardware services. This we plan to do in coordination with each and everyone of you.

We'd just like to note that applei.ph is not just the team, its all of us, the Filipino and Philippines-based iPhone / iPod Touch Community. The team is here to help out the best we can but ultimately, applei.ph is all of us. We look forward to stories of members helping each other out with their iPhone / iPod Touch problems.

Official Stand of applei.ph:

Knowledge is free.

Although some applei.ph team members do iPhone / iPod Touch services, we encourage the community to help each other out whether it be with unlocking, repairing, or installing apps on our devices. The services of applei.ph specialists are there for those who don't want to tinker with their devices by themselves. We strongly encourage our members to learn to fix, unlock, and modify their own iPhones and iPod Touches. That is why applei.ph will be providing tutorials and how to's on the site. An informed community is our goal in this site.

We look forward to building this community with you.

Sincerely,

team applei.ph

Thanks for the query Leo. Glad to see you here.

The principle simply means no illegal stuff allowed in this site. No pirated stuff, no violation of copyright, no libelous materials.

As to iPhone Unlocking, until there is a definitive ruling as to its legality/illegality by a court of law or legislature, we will assume its legal.

Of course it also means that everyone should comply with the forum rules and regulations once it is drafted by the team.

Hi there, I'm seeing the proliferation of iBeer, iChampagne, etc. etc. going around the forums. I was under the impression that to use these videos you need to buy the license from Hottrix.

Does this not go against "Obey the law?"

Having said that, I am pretty sure most of the music and videos installed in most people's iPhone probably didn't come from the iTunes Store

Not moralizing or anything but maybe it shouldn't be out there this openly?

Hi Leo

Thanks for always checking on applei.ph. The team will study the said situation and take the appropriate action on the matter. We have already removed the files from our team's iDisks. Expect an official team response on the matter very soon.

And on another note, for sure most of the music and videos installed in most people's iPhones probably didn't come from the iTunes Store, since we don't have an iTunes Store Philippines yet. I know that some Filipino's buy music and videos from the US iTunes store thru iTunes giftcards, but I'm sure they constitute only a minority of Filipino iPhone users. Most Filipinos probably fill up their iPhones with mp3s they ripped from their own CDs or m4v files they ripped and converted from their DVD collection.
